Köping’s Div. 2 team heads into a crucial late season game this Sunday at KB Hallen.
With a record of 7-7, Köping sits in fifth place, four points in front of Vasteras who have a 5-9 record. Köping has four games remaining on the schedule with third place Järfälla (11-5) coming to KB Hallen on Sunday, February 24 at 14:45.
Köping lost the fist game between these two teams late in November, 85-70.
Köping has won two and lost two of their four games played in 2019. The team dropped a 68-54 decision to the league-leading Husby Lions at Husbyhallen in Stockholm. Then the squad defeated Spånga 82-75 at home in KB Hallen. Köping then traveled to Stockholm again and downed Norrort 78-66. Two weeks ago, in KB Hallen, we faced a tough Ockelbo team, and were no match for their size and speed, losing 79-49.
Led by leading scorers Simon Klaasma, Luke Babic and Ghaith Kayali and with a strong squad also including veterans William and Wictor Sundh, Masen Saleh, William Håkansson and Abbas Ibrahim as well as rookies Samuel Syren, Johan Gustafsson, Muorwell kur Muorwell, Yahye Mohammed and Mattias Karlsson, Köping is looking to surprise Järfälla after losing to them in 2018.
