Köping Basket improved their record to 5-4 in Svealand’s Div. 2 North conference with a solid 73-60 win over Eskilstuna Saturday at KB-hallen.

With the win, Köping moves into 4th place in the standings ahead of Aros who have the same record but who Köping defeated earlier in the season.

Paced by the McDonald’s Game MVP Luka Babic, who had 23 points and was a dominating presence on the boards, Köping took a 13-point halftime lead and extended it to 23 points early in the fourth quarter.

Eskilstuna’s veteran team kept chipping away, taking advantage of defensive mistakes late in the game but could come no closer than 10 points. Babic drained a three pointer and then Masen Saleh finished off the scoring for Köping.

Scorers for Köping: Luka Babic 23 points, Simon Klaasma 18, Masen Saleh 7, Wictor Sundh 6, Muorwell kur Muorwell 5, Leo Willhelm 5, William Håkansson 3, Ghaith Kayali 3, Abbas Ibrahim 3.

Next up: Köping faces Aros, Sunday December 16 at KB Hallen, 14:45.
